Malta's Grand Harbour to Valletta and The Three Cities- Full day Private Tour

This Malta’s Grand Harbour Tour Valletta and The Three Cities is a unique combo just for you!

The old fortified hubs unified together just like in during their glorious past. Connected through the waters of the majestic Grand Harbour and its creeks lie the fortified peninsulas of Valletta and the Three Cities.

An administrative centerpiece for all the Maltese islands for more than four centuries and still glimmering. With their fine views, culture, aliveness, events, and marine activity. One thing is for sure these tiny stretches of land are still alive, unique, and somehow indivisible.

Starting our tour at Valletta City gate and after a  thorough introduction, we proceed chronologically towards the oldest fortified town by boat, and not any boat but a traditional dagħjsa tal-pass. In our stay in Birgu, we stroll through the winding streets in search of the origins of the most prestigious and oldest knighthood still alive today. Their arrival on the island, why they chose Birgu specifically, how they developed the town and its surroundings. And very importantly the fortifications and system of defense in an island constantly at threat of invasion and mass pillaging by Ottoman and Berber corsair rivals and pirates.

Our tour also explores the marina, its foundation, its extensions, changes, and alterations, upgrade, the British navy, and devolution to present state affairs.

We get to see some of the best vistas, churches, toppling old townhouses, beautiful monuments, and yachts! Many of them! During our walk outside the Walls of Birgu, we proceed towards Senglea passing from Cospicua in a pleasant walk by the sea where we might as well choose to stop for refreshments. Our last stop is the scenographic Gardjola a decorated watchtower with sensational views and more stories to come.

From there we go back to Valletta to see how it all developed. The grandeur of a new city, a city, a city built by noblemen for nobleman, but not only! Here we resume our walk until the Jean de Vallette statue, the same founder of the city, where we stop for a lunch break! And then? We meet again of course after a break. We stroll through the straight modern streets of a city built by the best architect one could find at the time. With new principles with a new vision. A vision that changed through time, by change of aesthetic likeness, norms, and needs, war and reconstruction, modernity and accommodation, maybe just for you;)

So if you want to know more about these two sites press just get in touch. You will not regret the experience! So much to say so much to do in just one day.

And a BONUS just for these months. Should you wish. for a small extra, we can enter an open church for a visit of art appreciation accompanied by your own guide. (As long as there are no function)
