The Times of Malta
We managed to “board” Malta’s national papers “The Times o Malta” for a “Talk like a pirate day” special like none other. A full broadside by journalist Ramona Depares, with our tours capturing almost two whole pages on the newspapers titled “ Licensed to thieve“. Ho ho ho
Being the first ever to bring back Corsairing from the “dead” as guided Tours in Malta and Valletta, we immediately caught the attention of one of Top Malta’s Media stations ONE NEWS who joined us on our Love for Gold Tour and composed such an impressive Video interview that any non-Maltese speaker would immediately understand and get a good feel what our tours are about!! Join us if you dare! 😉
Another Top Maltese Media is NET NEWS, who also accompanied Xandru on a Licensed to Steal Tour and added their special touch to give us the below gem and addition to our arsenal of we are very grateful!
Joining us on our Official Launch was Photographer Ian Noel Pace who captured this Historic event perfectly. Our ancestral Maltese Corsairs would be proud of such a fine catch and article composed!
Kultura News – 1st Interview
A unique daily program dedicated to Malta’s Culture initiated by Malta’s Public Broadcasting Authority on Malta’s national television (TVM).
The Captain behind the program and camera Karl Andrew Micallef met fellow Corsair Xandru Galea at Valletta during a special Corsair Tour ( or was it a tavern) And from the chance meeting, below is one of our favorite interviews to date:
Kultura News – 2nd Interview
Fascinated on how the origins of the Real Malta Tours go back to Co-founder Giacomo Muscat’s obsession with Corsairing, and how he originally started a Maltese Corsair T-Shirt Brand (Furban Malti). A second interview was carried out by Kultura News on the origins of the Furban Malti T-Shirt Brand and how this “Maritime” Voyage led to the creation of the “The Real Malta Tours”.
Our tales of past forgotten expertly retold and dramatized by Our Charming “Xandru Galea” has also managed bring aboard various new Bloggers. Below are the articles by our new shipmates:
A happy written experience by Martina, a Czech national and blogger so in love with Malta that she keeps a Photo Diary of Malta. Just as she thought she had seen it all, Corsair Guide Xandru Galea ( Co-founder Chris Schembri) escorted this fair maiden on a perilous voyage around the streets of Valletta for 2 hours of a “Pirate” past mostly unknown even by fellow Maltese!
Elysian Moment – Travel with Kate
Great time with blogger Kate the Great, her Partner and off course their sweet little Pirate in the making 🙂 Our new shipmates joined us all the way from the beautiful town of Bruges, Belgium. We had a great time showing them our equally beautiful city of Valletta…and, of course, re-telling the real stories they were dying to hear about! Thanks, guys for honouring us and specifically choosing our tours!
Yanika Muscat – Travel Blogger
With great delight, we welcomed aboard a local Maltese, Yanika Muscat, a Travel blogger, only this time with a difference… She took a Local tour and wrote an excellent blog post about a topic she had “never heard about before”… Maltese Corsairs and their tales of mischief and pleasure in Valletta! As “Xandru Galea” entertained Yanika, it became clear that this time she did not have to travel abroad to discover some fascinating stories. Our Corsairs have left a colourful legacy of tales and gems in Valletta to astonish both foreign visitors as well as fellow locals!
ARRRR YOU READY!!!! Dare to join us! See for yourselves why our “Corsairs of Malta” tours are the most media covered tours on the island of Malta…..
