Join your local guide, Chris Schembri, on our Valletta walk and penetrate deep into the invincible walled capital city of Malta. One of the very first modern cities in the world in this Valletta Private Walking Tour. Valletta is a fortress city, defender of the Catholic faith that for many centuries has survived its foes unbeaten.
Considered as one of the prime Mecca of art and architecture south of Rome and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Noble in its origins, yet mundane in its presentation, the city of the legendary Knights of St John will speak through your guide.
During our tour, you will visit the main palatial buildings, Auberges. Also the modern parliament and fabulous sights from Barracca gardens. Admire the pantheon of the Hospitaller Order; the St John’s Co-Cathedral where Caravaggio’s only signed painting is to be found. As well as the most important administrative building of Valletta; the Grandmaster’s Palace with all its military imposition.
Not forgetting the eloquent piazzas, magnificent churches, the Maltese balconies, drama, stories, and personages.
